![]() ![]() The smaller maneuverable ships really cannot take too many hits from those 4x size 3's. you just point the freelancers nose vaguely in their direction and let the very snappy gimbal action do the rest of the work. you dont have to point the nose directly at, or even close to your enemies. Yea, but it doesnt matter that it handles like a bus, again because of the duel turrets on the sides acting like super gimbals. If you want to dogfight and don't have friends, maybe go arrow or gladius in that price range and forget trading or cargo runs all together. ![]() If you plan on being a solo trader, go Freelancer. I would say if your interested in dog fighting and have friends, go Cutlass. ![]() Misc ships are supposed to be about efficiency and long hauling ability meaning that freelancers have toilets and small kitchens that will someday let you stay away from a port for longer. Overall though the design of Drake ships is that they are geared for working in groups and will have features for easy repair and for piracy. Going forward both ships will be affected by balance passes. Cutlass' have way better visibility for the pilot, visibility on the freelancer isn't ever going to get better and has been addressed as the intentional design of the ship. The freelancer has better firepower if your flying solo, but the Cutlass has better firepower if you have someone in the turret. Starting components for the Cutlass are horrible and need upgraded ASAP but on the freelancer you can get by for a bit with the stock components. This is just my opinion, but both have their pro's and cons. ![]()
